Automatic Updates .htaccess Shield

Hi Pascal, mit dem Einloggen heute Morgen, hat sich HTProtect automatisch auf die neue Version 2.5.12 aktualisiert. Schön. Nun hatte ich eigentlich auch erwartet, dass auch die .htaccess von HTProtect aktualisiert würde, diese ist aber seit gestern Abend (28.7.2026, 21:19 Uhr) unverändert. Sollte es an dieser Stelle nicht ein automatisches Update geben? Und falls dies technisch nicht möglich ist, könnte man regelmäßige Updates der .htaccess nicht per "cli" z.B. durch eine crontab auslösen? Gruß Tom

Hi Pascal,
when I logged in this morning, HTProtect automatically updated itself to the new version 2.5.12. Nice.
However, I was actually expecting the .htaccess file from HTProtect to be updated as well, but it hasn’t changed since yesterday evening (July 28, 2026, 9:19 PM).

Shouldn’t there be an automatic update for this as well?
And if that’s not technically possible, couldn’t regular updates of the .htaccess be triggered via “cli”, for example through a crontab?

Hi Tom,
there was a small bug - normally the .htaccess should be rewritten automatically. It will work again from version 2.5.13 onwards, as soon as it's ready - there are plenty of other improvements included.
