Hey Webbie,

If I'm not mistaken, that's the all-inkl KAS virus scanner.
It first renames the files and then makes sure they can't be read anymore. That way, they can't be detected by the HTProtect scan either.

If you already have the files on your disk (temporarily chmod 200 - download - delete), feel free to put them in a password-protected ZIP or something similar and send them to me. Then I'll check what percentage is detected and see if the rate can be pushed up to 💯 for this collection.

Pascal Hey. That's right... all-inkl. One file was detected by HTProtect despite being renamed. All the others weren't.

webbie07 Then either the scanner made an exception there, or someone or something made them readable again.
With ionos, it's the same chmod 000, just without the renaming.

I like to have those files set to 000 at least listed, just like Akeeba Backup does during a backup attempt.

Overall, dealing with this is a bit tricky. Making them readable often isn’t possible, the web host probably tells you otherwise, and on top of that, some needed files—like the "functions.php" in WordPress—get locked. Just blindly deleting them isn’t really the best move either.

webbie07 Files blocked by the host are now listed by the malware scanner and can be temporarily unlocked for reading, as long as the owner is still the PHP user.
