I have two websites: a test site using a subdomain (slow response times) and the main site using the primary domain (fast response times). On both sites, I’ve disabled Joomla’s automatic updates.
When I logged into the backend today, I noticed the following regarding the automatic HTProtect update from 2.6.7 to 2.6.8 (in chronological order):
Test site
Action Logs
- User updated the component HTProtect 2 minutes ago.
Extensions: Update
Main site
Action Logs
- User updated the component HTProtect 5 hours ago.
So, while the automatic update of HTProtect didn’t work on my test site and I only saw the update notification when logging in and then triggered it manually, the same HTProtect update was installed automatically on my main site while I was away.
I actually configured both sites the same way, so I’m surprised by this inconsistent behavior. Do you have any idea what might have caused this difference?
